Lithuania Constitution Fundamentals Exam Fee

The official fee for the Lithuania Constitution Fundamentals Exam is €14. This is a state fee that goes to the budget, not a payment for study materials or preparation — the recipient of the payment is the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI), not any private company or learning platform, including ours.

Separately, in the same way, you pay for the Lithuanian language exam — €29. Both exams are part of the same document process for the leidimas nuolat gyventi (permanent residence permit) or citizenship, but they are paid as two separate fees, not a single payment.

How Payment Works

1. Register for the exam in the MIGRIS system.
2. Once your MIGRIS registration is confirmed, payment details appear — the payment is made to one of VMI's accounts, using the correct payment code for the constitution exam.
3. Pay by the deadline. If you miss it, the registration is automatically cancelled, and you will have to book an exam slot again.
4. Wait until the payment is recorded: your exam slot is only reserved once the money has actually arrived — registration confirmation on its own does not guarantee it.

Refund of the Paid Fee

A refund of the paid fee if you miss the exam for a valid reason is not generally provided automatically — if this happens to you, it is more reliable to check the procedure directly with MIGRIS or NSA staff, rather than rely on general rules from public sources that may not match your specific situation.

Keeping Bank Details Current

Bank details and payment codes are updated from time to time, so before paying it is worth checking the VMI section, or the MIGRIS system directly at the time of registration.
